About this print
Design 20499 is alternating rows of terracotta clay and meadowland green dots on a warm off-white cream ground. The dot is medium scale at approx. 20 mm dot on a 28 mm pitch. All-over and non-directional — the layout has no top or bottom, so pattern pieces can be turned either way and there is no extra wastage when you lay out a marker. Measured shades in the artwork run approximately #E4DDCB, #5E7F4C, #B0705C, so trims and linings can be matched directly against those values. One of 150 designs in the Clothwala 2026 polka dot collection.

Frequently asked questions
How much fabric do I need for each garment?
Maxi Dress — 3.0 – 3.5 m; Dress — 3.0 – 3.5 m; Co-ord Set — 3.0 – 3.5 m; Kurti — 2.5 m; Saree Blouse — 1.0 m; Shirt — 2.0 – 2.5 m; Men's Shirt — 2.0 – 2.5 m; Skirt — 2.0 – 2.5 m; Kids Frock — 1.5 m; Scarf — 1.0 – 2.0 m (all at 44 inch width). The full chart on this page covers 37 garment types including menswear, kids wear and home furnishing.
What size are the dots?
Medium scale — roughly a 20 mm dot on a 28 mm pitch, in two alternating colours on cream. Large enough to be the feature of a garment, and the cream ground keeps it lighter on the eye than a two-colour dot on a saturated base.
How should I lay out and cut this print?
The layout is all-over and non-directional, so pattern pieces can face either way. That means no stripe matching, no one-way marker, and no extra wastage — you can cut to the same yardage you would use for a plain dyed fabric.
Which fabric quality suits this polka dot best?
For dresses and co-ords, Poly Crepe (80–95 GSM) or Poly Georgette (70–90 GSM). For men's and women's shirting, Cotton Cambric (80–110 GSM) holds a crisper collar. For sarees and dupattas, Poly Chiffon (60–80 GSM). All 17 bases carry the same artwork.
Is polka dot still a current trend?
Yes — polka dot is one of the few prints that never fully leaves the range, and it is running strongly for 2026–27 across resort, shirting and womenswear. It is a safe repeat-order print: it does not date the way a seasonal floral or a novelty conversational print does.
What colours does this pair with?
The ground reads as cream and the dot as terracotta clay & meadowland green. The measured shades in the artwork are approximately #E4DDCB, #5E7F4C, #B0705C, so you can match trims, linings and thread against those directly.
Can I get this in a different colour or dot size?
Yes. Design 20499 can be recoloured to any Pantone shade, and the dot scale can be enlarged or reduced before bulk production, at no extra design charge on orders above 100 metres. This design is one of 150 in the Clothwala 2026 polka dot collection.
Do you have fabric bases other than the 17 listed here?
Yes. We hold over 100 fabric qualities in total. Only our 17 highest-volume bases are listed on the website — the full range covers viscose, cotton, polyester, nylon, nylon-cotton and polyester-cotton. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 99588 03184 for a specific base. Minimum for an off-catalogue base is 100 metres, and it needs extra lead time.
Is this fabric ready stock or made to order?
All Clothwala fabric is made to order. Nothing is pre-made stock — we print each order specially for you, which means the design can be customised: a different colourway, a larger or smaller dot, or your own artwork on any of our 17 base cloths.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Our fabric is sold by the metre and available from 1 metre, so you can order a sample length before committing. Flexible wholesale minimums apply, with per-colour and per-design bulk tiers. Note that 1 unit = 0.5 metres.
How long does delivery take?
We dispatch within one week of order confirmation. Transit time after that depends on your courier and where you are located in India. Free shipping on orders above Rs1,299 within India.
Need a different colour, dot size or a base not listed? We hold 100+ fabric qualities. Message us on WhatsApp or email info@clothwala.com — mill direct from Surat, Gujarat, India. Minimum 100 metres for off-catalogue bases.
