Design 3492 is a geometric print featuring interlocking triangles in varying shades of blue, beige, and cream. The scale is medium to large (approx. 7 cm triangle side). The print is directional. All pattern pieces must be cut the same way up, and the design should be matched at centre-front, side seams and sleeve heads. Allow roughly 15–20% extra fabric over a plain print for matching. Measured shades in the artwork run approximately #2F405C, #8FA2B8, #C8B291, #E8E0D1, so trims, linings and thread can be matched directly against those values. How should I lay out and cut this print?
This is a directional print, so every pattern piece must be cut the same way up — you cannot turn pieces to save cloth. Match the design at centre-front, at the side seams and across the sleeve head. Budget roughly 15–20% more fabric than a plain or non-directional print, which is why the yardage figures on this page are already uplifted.
